The Jujurha Education Centre is situated on a rolling green hillside, typical of the beautiful Wild Coast. Having recently extended the playground area by moving the boundary fence, we were faced with the problem of levelling the area – so we called in the oxen and this well trained team arrived at sunrise on a Sunday morning. Within a short time the tough grass covering an area which had never been cultivated had been turned to reveal the rich dark soil.
The next step was to call in a team from the Community Work Programme who soon had the whole area ready for planting in the Spring. We hope to have a spacious play area by next summer, with place to kick balls, ride the scooters less dangerously and generally spread our wings. Watch this space…..
