  4. Samantha Sanderson Says:

    Hi there,

It looks like you are getting flooded with requests but I thought I’d try anyway: I’d like to volunteer too! I just finished a degree in Human Biology and would love to volunteer before I start Med school in January 2012. I could help teach Biology or Science. I also worked as a hotel receptionist while traveling the world – so, I could do accommodation admin type stuff too :)

    Thanks a bunch,
    Sam

    • Bulungula Incubator Says:

      Hi Samantha

We have limited space available for volunteers but you can send your CV to me at rejane@bulungulaincubator.org and we will let you know when something that fits your skills comes up.

Thanks for your interest in the BI!
      Rejane

  5. James Says:

    Greetings!

I am an African-American English teacher of 14 years. Recently, I completed a master’s degree in English and would like very much to volunteer a few months teaching or supporting the Bulungula schools in some other way.

    Thanks!
    James S.

  6. Kiki Says:

    First of all, great project.

My two boys (8 years and 6 years) and I (female, Swiss economist, 39), we will travel throughout the African continent from August till end of 2011. We would love to stay a little while at your place helping you with your projects.
With whom I can get in contact?

    Thanks for your answer. Kiki

    • Bulungula Incubator Says:

      Hi Kiki

Thanks for your interest in our organisation! Unfortunately, all our volunteer spaces will be full during the time that you’re visiting. You are, of course, welcome to visit our offices, meet with our project managers and see the work we’re doing in the area. I’m not sure if you have already had a look at the websites of the Bulungula Lodge and of our homestays where you can stay when you visit: Bulungula Lodge http://www.bulungula.com or http://www.bulungulahomestays.com, for a true village experience.

      cheers
      Rejane

  7. Hi! Could you please inform me when new volunteer positions open? Thanks!

    • Bulungula Incubator Says:

      Hi Annette

Thank you for your interest in the Bulungula Incubator! We do not have general volunteer positions. We prefer to match the skills and time requirements of volunteers with the requirements of projects that are running at the time that the volunteer wants to visit. We have limited capacity to accommodate volunteers since we are in a remote rural area therefore there are only a few places available every year. The specific skills that the volunteer brings is very important and I’d suggest that you email your CV to me first (rejane@bulungulaincubator.org) with information about when you’d like visit and what your specific interests are. As I’m sure you’ll understand, we try to employ members of the local community as far as possible and volunteers assist with skills that we cannot procure locally. We also prefer volunteers that can commit for a good length of time: 1 year/6months, at least a minimum of 3 months.

      best, rejane

  8. Sean Rivett Says:

    HI

I am a graduate engineer from the University of Cape Town and have grown up in East London. I am looking to get involved in any one of your initiatives as a volunteer.

I have had experience in teaching english and maths, as well as entrepreneurship and engineering.

    I can also speak Xhosa.

Please let me know if there is anything that I can do.

    Sean

    • Bulungula Incubator Says:

Hi Sean. Thank you for your interest in our work. We do have opportunities for volunteers but these are limited by our organisational capacity. However if your skill set and the time you’d like to work with us matches one of our projects, we may be able to use your help! Please email me at rejane@bulungulaincubator.org with your CV and your time contraints/parameters. Thanks rejane
